As a visually challenged individual, I do not see things as most others do. In this series, my latest, I am exploring the idea of different visual competency tests that I have experienced. Through Amsler grid forms, large paint strokes and blurring techniques, I am exploring different ways of depicting what I can see when my eyes are open, as well as when they are closed. 

I use disruption as a catalyst to develop beauty through colour relationships, spatial tension and circumstance. My hope is that the viewer can find the beauty in the imperfection. Weakness makes me stronger.
